What Are We All About?
Huckleberry Nutrition Co. was created to make nutrition feel simple, approachable, and empowering-especially for women and moms who are already doing everything for everyone around them.
I started Huckleberry Nutrition after realizing how much I wanted to help women feel confident about their bodies, nutrition choices, and managing diseases, without it becoming overwhelming.
The name is deeply personal to me: I grew up picking huckleberries in the Idaho mountains every year with my family. Huckleberries are sweet, simple, and good for your mind heart and soul-just like taking care of your body can be.
We make nutrition feel a little sweeter, a little simpler, and helps taking care of yourself that much easier-so you can take care of those you love as your best self.
Let’s Put Your Care Back on the List.
Meet Abby Torrie, RDN
Up until June of 2026, I was working as an RD, empowering women through better nutrition. It was my dream job.
Or so I thought.
The day after I found out I was expecting my second baby, the company suddenly and unexpectedly shut down. I remember thinking, if they can’t help and empower women, then I will.
And so, while navigating the morning sickness, fatigue, nausea, and challenges of pregnancy itself, Huckleberry Nutrition Co. was born.
Previously, I pursued becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, earning my bachelor’s degrees from BYU-Idaho and Idaho State University, followed by my masters in Dietetic Administration from Utah State University. This included more than 1.200 hours of supervised internship experience.
I have lived in many parts of Idaho including Boise, Meridian, Rexburg, Oakley, and Pocatello. Being licensed in the whole state of Idaho and using the benefits of virtual telehealth, I am able to serve many other areas including Burley, Twin Falls, Magic Valley, Southern Idaho, Boise, Northern Idaho, and more. I believe Nutrition counseling should be accessible to moms everywhere, no matter how small of a town you live in.
I love exploring Idaho, being outside, sharing good food with people I love, and my Savior, Jesus Christ.
With experience in fertility, gestational diabetes, maternal health, preeclampsia, PMOS, eating disorders, anemia, high-risk pregnancy, breastfeeding nutrition, postpartum nutrition, and weight management, I’m here to help moms feel cared for, confident, and empowered.
And yes, We speak Español.
I spent the year of 2019-2020 in Quito, Ecuador becoming fluent, and continued my Spanish language studies in my college education.
Most of the patients I have seen in my career have primarily spoken Spanish.
